I'm giving you a three hour block for your edits to University of South Carolina. Your edits are in poor taste, are in violation of NPOV. You are welcome to contribute after the block expires, but if you continue to add inflammatory material, I will block you again. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:31, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

You may not realise it, but Wikipedia has its own house style defined in Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Please be careful to follow its advice. All edits that don't will be changed to match what our MoS recommends. --Randy 00:11, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Clemson Bias

Why do Wikipedia editors allow (or even support in the case of Evilphoenix) the Clemson bias that continues to appear in the Athletics section for the University of South Carolina? When the same type of comments are placed on the Clemson University article, they are deleted. This practice does not seem fair. Since Evilphoenix attended Clemson, perhaps he should be stripped of his editor/admin duties as far as the articles on these two schools are concerned.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.164.62.134 (talkcontribs) 00:45, November 28, 2005

[edit] Copyrighted material on University of South Carolina

You recently added several large sections of text. This edit contains copyrighted material from [1], and This edit is a copyright violation of [2]. Unfortunately, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, and I have deleted the material from the article. However, the sites you used would make excellent reference sources. The best thing to do would be to include the information from these sites, but to re-word them so that they are not simply a copy and paste from the sites in question. [edit] Todd Ellis

Any particular reason you removed this? [3]? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:23, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Yes, Mr. Ellis is not a significant alum of USC. He is known more as a former quarterback (and not even the best), and to list him as the Voice of the Gamecocks is hardly deserving. He does play-by-play for only football and only for the last couple of years. The true Voice of the Gamecocks is/was Bob Fulton. [4] Bob is the one who deserves to be on the list as the Voice, although he is not an alum. 69.164.62.134 16:04, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
Hmm. Well, I'd say if he is the current play by play announcer for the school's radio network, that's worth mentioning. As far as the "Voice of the Gamecocks", I suppose that depends on if you consider "Voice of the Gamecocks" to be a title that refers to the current announcer, or a nickname that's not generally used for anyone except Bob Fulton. Would it be better to perhaps say the "current Voice of the Gamecocks", or at the very least "current play by play announcer"? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:32, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
"The Voice of the Gamecocks" has been Bob Fulton's nickname. Mr. Fulton did basketball and baseball broadcasts in addtion to football. Todd Ellis does local radio play-by-play for football only. That doesn't seem to qualify for the Voice or even any mention on a list of significant alum. 69.164.62.134 02:48, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
