[edit] "Fishing Notes"
Hey! I noticed you've been adding external links to lots of lake articles to "Fishing Notes". Unfortunately, I've had to revert your edits because they seem to be spam. If there's a good reason for the changes, please explain it (and please accept my humble apologies!), but adding the same website to so many articles looks very questionable without any kind of discussion first! Anyways, thanks so much for your time and sorry to be such a bother! Slan-cheh 04:31, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Shasta Lake. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Leuko 04:34, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Last chance...
I see someone else has contacted you about the same issue. If you continue to add the links without any discussion, I'm going to be obliged to report you. Thanks again! Slan-cheh 04:44, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Spam linking
Just wanted to give you a heads up, as I just reverted your link on High Rock Lake. I have looked at the site, and honestly, you have some worthwhile information, but the huge honking Google ads make it appear to be a spam site. It seems the purpose of the site is to make money, rather than to cover costs, which is considered spam, unless you are an established source, such as NY Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC, CNN, etc.
In short, I would bet your domain is about to get blacklisted on Wikipedia. Its a nice site but it just isn't appropriate for Wikipedia due to the overly commercial nature. Pharmboy 23:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
