Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Melsaran (formerly Salaskаn) 13:52, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] EHarmony

Hello. I noticed you tagged EHarmony with {{POV-check}}. May I ask why? I think it's pretty neutral. --Boricuaeddie 01:28, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

My bad. I didn't see the comment on the talk page. I've tried to make it more neutral, although I don't think it was written from a POV. Please check it and comment. --Boricuaeddie 01:35, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
See the comment that I put on your talk page. Thanks. 69.143.80.200 03:45, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
I really don't understand your problem with the article. It just says that it's being sued and quotes the party's statements; nothing more. Please be bold and fix it yourself or explain the problem more clearly, or I will remove the tag, because I see nothing wrong with it. --Boricuaeddie 21:40, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Police Dog

Sorry, I made a mistake in twinkle and added your edit back. May I ask what all that syntax was. Thanks,Thedjatclubrock :) (T/C) 02:14, 20 August 2007 (UTC).

I substituted the "seealso" template instead of using it the normal way. Didn't realize the template contained all that superfluous syntax, so I have since changed {{subst:seealso|detection dog}} to {{seealso|detection dog}}.
Actually, if I had read the relevant Wikipedia policy, I should have realized that the substitution of the "seealso" template is actually strongly discouraged (if not forbidden)! Thank you for assuming good faith on my part. 69.143.80.200 02:42, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
No problem. You should really consider getting an account.Thedjatclubrock :) (T/C) 11:09, 20 August 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Account

Thanks a lot for your recent contributions to Articles For Creation! However, creating all those redirects and accepting/closing the AFCs takes a lot of time for us. Would you please consider creating an account? It only takes seconds to do so. See also Wikipedia:Why create an account? Melsaran (talk) 08:57, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

I understand there is not a way to merge the User Contributions from various IP addresses with the User Contributions of a new Username. Correct? 69.143.80.200 01:37, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I think there is no way, but you could make a mention on this page, or on your new user page that you did contribute from 69.143.80.200 in the past and that you are the same as whatever your new registration is. Graeme Bartlett 03:07, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
No, the reason I desire to merge them is for my own convenience. If the ability to merge is one of the benefits of registration, then I might reconsider my earlier decision not to register. 69.143.80.200 06:34, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Article One the band

I put the reference in to Article One (band) because a previous article with the name about this topic was deleted because of a copyright violation. I don't know how important they are, but a mention in an article does not have to have notability. A mention in one line may be enough to say about them. Graeme Bartlett 03:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I am wondering if, because of the copyright violation in the Wikipedia article you mention, it would be (legally) safer to behave as if that Wikipedia article never existed? 69.143.80.200 04:04, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

We better not talk about it then! The evidence is in the delete log. The original Article One is gone and totally replace by your contribution with edits. Are you going to register and do an Article 3 4 and 6? Graeme Bartlett 04:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
