[edit] Vandalizing Concerns

  1. Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Kukini 21:45, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
  2. Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Kukini 21:49, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't understand. What nonsense did I add?

You may not delete (or blank) others' work without reason. This is considered vandalism on wikipedia. Best, Kukini 22:45, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay, where do I put my reasoning when I am editing an article?

"Vandalism is any addition, deletion, or change to content, made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of the encyclopedia."

I deleted those links to do exactly the opposite. The integrity of the encyclopedia is comprimised when the information includes links to slanderous websites. Just as there are no slanderous websites in the George W Bush article, there should not be any in Dick DeVos's article. To include such websites would be contrary to the goals of Wikipedia.

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 69.14.47.79). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. Kukini 23:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summary Request

I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 23:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

I think Kukini is acting on his bias when reverting the page after I edited it.

[edit] Offering of Help

Hi! After looking over your edits and the reversal of those edits by two particular users, I would like ask you why you want those particular links fromoved from that article. They may carry a negative perspactive about the subject matter, but should only be removed if they are spam links or if they are of unreliable sources, such as tabloids or blogs. Also, when removing content, and as Kukini asked, using edit summaries can greatly assist other editors in knowing what change you made and potentially why you made that change. If I can be of any other service, send me a message on my talk page. --ZsinjTalk 05:43, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Mood stabilizer

Your recent edit to Mood stabilizer (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles.
