Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. ~ Infrangible 02:21, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding edits to New X-Men

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page New X-Men do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule '[A-Za-z][0-9]{2}\.photobucket\.com/albums/.*\.jpg' (link(s): http://img32.photobucket.com/albums/v97/MasterSplinter/YoungX-Men.jpg</ref>

) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.

Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! SquelchBot (talk) 17:34, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ClanDestine

Hi. You stated in your Edit Summary that "Thaddeus appears in Volume #2, Issue #2 of the series". But that issue hasn't come out yet. Didn't he appear in Volume 1, after Alan Davis left?

YOU CAN SEE THE PREVIEW PAGES ONLINE, IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE ACTUAL ISSUE.

Also, you added to the passage "His apparent death unlocked Albert's ability to destroy from the inside out." What exactly does this mean? What do you mean when you say "destroy from the inside out"? Destroy what? People? Inanimate objects? (Forgive me, I hadn't read the non-Alan Davis issues.)

UNSPECIFIED. BUT IF ITS "INSIDE OUT" IT'S USUALLY LIVING THINGS.

Is this a separate power he has apart from his healing ability?

YES.

Lastly, I think you misunderstand how to use the ref name tag. That tag is used when a cited source is used more than once in an article. The first time in the article that you cite it, however, you have to write out the full description of the source, and only use the ref name tag in subsequent instances. (If you look through the article after clicking "Edit", you'll see what this looks like.) Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 06:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO CITE.

YOU CAN SEE THE PREVIEW PAGES ONLINE, IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE ACTUAL ISSUE. Okay. Can you give me a url so I can add the reference? Thanks.

UNSPECIFIED. BUT IF ITS "INSIDE OUT" IT'S USUALLY LIVING THINGS. Okay. Can you elaborate on what the mechanism/effect looks like so we can do so in the passage? (Albert emits some type of energy? The person/thing just explodes? Was it just a text description from a character, and if so, can you provide the quote?) Thanks again.

DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO CITE. Okay, that's cool, but I noticed you responded by just putting it back in the way you did before; it doesn't create a reference. Didn't you use the Preview function or look at the article after you saved it to notice that when you clicked on Footnote #4, that it was just a Cite Error? (Check it out here). I'll take care of it, but in the future, make sure you either use the Preview or see what the Saved article looks like after your edit, especially if your edit involves the use of a procedure that you haven't yet mastered. :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nightscream (talkcontribs) 05:30, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
