[edit] "Octopus-gate"
I've never heard this term before, although I guess it's common in the Detroit area/fan base. Would you accept a compromise along the lines of a section titled "Twirling ban" with the following lead sentence:
On April 19, 2008, in what some have called "Octopus-gate", Colin Campbell banned the twirling of the octopus on the ice.
It's also against the manual of style to have links inside of headers, but that could be dealt with in other ways.-Wafulz (talk) 17:15, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- A compromise is an excellent idea!
I've put the section title back to "Twirling ban" and added a new line in the second paragraph that refers to "Octopus-gate" and provided the source for it. If you would, please review this and make any adjustments that would be necessary.
Sorry about the link inside of the header. I seem to be learning about how to edit by breaking rules and then getting rightly called on my transgressions. <sheepish grin> --68.72.250.165 (talk) 20:47, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
