[edit] Welcome

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.-Andrew c 03:14, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re:666

I reverted your edits because I felt they were inappropriate for wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. We have policies to insure that everything is attributed to verifiable, reliable sources. We also have policies against original research (see the links above in my welcome message). That means, wikipedia is not a place to publish your own original thoughts or theories. It is also not a collection of indiscriminate information. Non-notable and fringe views have no place here. While we do encourage having multiple points of view, we also have to present POVs in a neutral manner, making sure we do not give undue weight to minority views.

Your edits cited no sources, and seemed like original research. At the very least the notability and prevalence of the views expressed in your edit was not established as being significant enough for inclusion. Please review our guidelines, and feel free to ask questions to me or at the help desk. Hope this helps.-Andrew c 03:14, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 03:23, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
