[edit] Time Neutral

I just reverted your changes to Ashlee Simpson. Wikipedia strives to be time-neutral. That is to say, if an article is not edited for the next, say, five years, will it still make sense? Your changes to that article meant that it would not make sense in five years. --Yamla 20:07, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Links to Disambiguation pages

Please stop linking to the disambiguation page of AFI. The real page you are trying to link to is AFI (band) so for future reference please link to that page. ren0talk 20:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Invisible (Jaded Era song)

Please don't undo other people's edits without explanation. If you have a problem with them, explain in your edit summary or discuss it on the talk page, but do not simply blanket revert. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 10:33, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song)

Your recent edit to Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song) (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // AntiVandalBot 06:36, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

  1. I added the info on the Jaded Era version, and it isn't vandalism to do so. Please don't accuse other people of vandalising articles when they haven't.
  2. Messages to other editors should be left on talk pages, not in the articles themselves.
  3. I see that you have moved the info on the Ashlee Simpson version to Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song). However, usually on Wikipedia we only have one article covering all recordings of a song; for example see Who's Lovin' You, Hum Along and Dance, Respect (song), I'll Be There, I Heard It through the Grapevine, I Will Always Love You, Lady Marmalade and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (which is a featured article). Because of this, and for other reasons, I have proposed that Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song) be merged back into Invisible (Jaded Era song). Please join the discussion at Talk:Invisible (Jaded Era song). Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 11:20, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
I see you have not accepted my invitation to discuss the issue, and have instead removed the merge notice from Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song). I should inform you that behaviour like this could be interpreted as indicative of an unwillingness to work collaboratively with other editors. Please join the discussion, and do not remove the merge notice as it signals to other editors that there is an ongoing discussion. If you disagree with the proposed merge, you can explain why on the talk page. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 22:14, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
  1. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. While the Wikipedia community appreciates your obvious efforts to increase the amount of information on the site, we'd like to point out our policy against original research and for citing sources for the information you provide. This increases the reputation of Wikipedia as a whole and aids in checking the factuality of that article.
  2. You've reverted my recent edits wholesale without any explanation whatsoever; this is unacceptable, and I have restored them. Most of the information I removed was not supported by references, and in-depth coverage of the song's chart performance and TRL statistics is not required because Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Your blanket revert also undid useful things such as adding citations, formatting fixes and inserting links to other Wikipedias; repeatedly undoing edits like this constitutes disruption, and will almost certainly lead to a block on your account. If you have specific issues with my contributions, please explain them here, on my talk page or on the article's. Extraordinary Machine 20:51, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
You've again reverted without explanation, in the process removing formatting corrections, a category, footnotes and an interwiki link to the Spanish Wikipedia. Any further edits like these will be considered vandalism and could lead to a temporary block being placed on your IP address. You've also been restoring unreferenced material to the article, even though I've asked you to cite your sources. Wikipedia takes verifiability extremely seriously, and per Wikipedia:Verifiability, "Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reputable source, or it may be removed by any editor. The obligation to provide a reputable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it." Extraordinary Machine 16:51, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
  1. What I said above applies to A Public Affair (song) as well. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
  2. Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song). If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Extraordinary Machine 17:51, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
  1. You've been reported at WP:AN/3RR for violating the three-revert rule on Invisible (Ashlee Simpson song), and you're approaching a second 3RR violation on A Public Affair (song). Please stop reverting other people's edits. It doesn't matter if the information is useful or not; what matters is whether it is supported by references. Extraordinary Machine 18:10, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked for 24 hours

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future.

[edit] The Wreckers

  1. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from The Wreckers. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you.
  2. You may not have been aware of it, but Wikipedia has its own style guide described in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Please try to follow its advice. Edits that do not follow these guidelines may be changed to match what the WP:MOS recommends. Wikipedia does not require writers to follow all or any of these rules, but their efforts will be more appreciated when they do so.
  3. Per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria, unfree images (such as album covers) shouldn't be used as decoration.
  4. Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/Tables for charts stipulates uncoloured "wikitable" format for chart tables and against boldfacing number-one chart positions (or any, for that matter).
  5. You've been warned about undoing undisputedly useful edits (such as changing "US" to the correct "U.S.", uncapitalising words that aren't proper nouns or form part of a title, removing misplaced italics and boldfacing), which is considered vandalism when done repeatedly. If you revert again, you'll be blocked from editing for a period. Extraordinary Machine 14:41, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jessica Simpson

Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article Jessica Simpson did not provide specific references or sources. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Editors may choose to remove material you have contributed if it is not verifiable. Please provide specific references in your contributions to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content. You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. StoptheDatabaseState 22:37, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the Carrie Underwood page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Flauto Dolce 23:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
