[edit] You have been blocked

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 24 hours as a result of your disruptive edits. You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. -- zzuuzz (talk) 21:03, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "I am confused as to why I am blocked. I was simply viewing a Wikipedia page, and I received notice that I was blocked for vandalizing Will Smith's page. I am not aware as to what I edited into that page, however, I am aware that I have done nothing destructive to Wikipedia's property. I let it go when I was accused of vandalizing Jennifer Aniston's page, but now, the administrators have taken it too far with these accusations. I have nothing against Jennifer Aniston or Will Smith. To be quite honest, I am not even interestedd in their work. I do not share an IP address with anybody, and I am apparently innocent, yet I am blocked from editing your website. What ever happened to Wikipedia's standard of spirit? I do not find it very community-like to ban loyal members of yours that have done NOTHING immoral or unethical. I am a fidel - I do not turn my back on people, or in this case, websites that I trust. But I guess I do not receive fidelity in return from Wikipedia. Not once, but twice, has this finger-pointing occured, and it is now becoming immature. Children point fingers, not mature, responsible adults!

Bans are not didactic. Whoever is actually vandalizing your pages will nto cease their actions because you ban them for a period of time. If they truly considered vandalizing your website a deep interest of theirs, they would just go onto another IP address and repeat their actions. You do not know how to deal with these varieties of peoples.

I am ashamed of Wikipedia, ASHAMED!"

Decline reason: "See Special:Contributions/68.39.139.107 for a list of edits made using this IP address -- given your ISP, I'm assuming you're at a home or small business, and that someone you live or work with made these edits. If you have an unsecured wireless network, you may want to look into securing it. – Luna Santin (talk) 21:24, 8 July 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

Hm. The above message assumes you're on some sort of broadband connection; the contributions from this particular IP look a bit more like it may be a proxy for dial-up modem users, though -- if the latter case is correct, then it's probable this address is shared among a number of customers. – Luna Santin (talk) 21:26, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Much of those edits were not mine, and you were informed of that, yet you will continue to punish me for someone else's stupid and idiotic actions?

I might be able to help, why don't you create your own account? It's very easy. TheBlazikenMaster 21:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Pretty much what Blaziken said. There's no technically viable solution to this sort of problem, at this time. We need to keep out abusive users, and the web doesn't provide us with any identifiable information; the closest thing we get is an IP address. We can send abuse reports to ISPs and companies and businesses and homes, but such things are rarely acted upon, except in the most extreme cases. The vast majority of blocks will allow users with accounts to continue editing; if you get an account, you should be able to edit over most blocks. If you need help registering, you can contact unblock-en-l. – Luna Santin (talk) 21:34, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
