The reason why self references to Wikipedia are ill-advised is because the whole encyclopedia is mirrored out to other websites on a regular basis: therefore those additions become meaningless and confusing to the vast majority of readers. Besides which there is already a link promoting the deletion discussion at the top of the page, which is less confusing than hiding mention of the discussion in the article itself. Please do not restore the deleted paragraph. -- Francs2000
