[edit] Big Spender filming

I'm reposting this message here (it appears on the Talk page for the Big Spender article) because someone from this IP address had disagreed with the statement about where the first season was filmed, and I thought she might be interested in this information but might not revisit the article and see the reply:

According to the article cited and according to other published sources shown on the producers' web site, the first season was filmed in south Florida. An article in the Miami Herald cites them as saying they chose SFla because (a) the crew is based there and (b) life in that area lends itself to overspending. You may be thinking of host Larry Winget, who lives in and works from the Phoenix area.
