Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Procrastination. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. Hi Kevin,
I'm glad to hear you're interested in helping out Wikipedia. However, adding material that can be considered promotional is generally frowned upon, and can be considered spamming. When you add links to the same website across multiple articles, or other informations about a product, it makes it appear as though you're here to promote your link or product.
If you truly think your material is useful for an article, try mentioning it on that article's talk page. Other neutral editors of the article can then review it and determine if it should be included in the article.
If you have any other questions or concerns please let me know --AbsolutDan (talk) 04:36, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
