User talk:68.239.79.82/sandbox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These are sandboxes from my current and previous IP accounts ... they kinda overlap. ;-}

Contents

[edit] Excerpts from legacy pages

[edit] Talk pages

  1. User Talk:Geo Swan (section) ... how I got speedy blocked while on New pages patrol.
  2. User Talk:David Gerard (section) ... how I was unblocked as quickly as I was blocked
  3. User Talk:KathrineS (section) ... another "victim" of my New page patrol zeal
  4. User Talk:Onofre Bouvila (section) ... editor trashed history off their previous speedy deletions and warnings by repeatedly blanking their talk page.

[edit] Discussion pages

  1. Talk:Ideas (retailer) ... evaporated when result of WP:AfD/Ideas (retailer) was "a shonky merge and redirect"

[edit] Legacy essays

  1. The HarleyQuinn.com Argument ... an early essay on bootstrapping notability using Alexa and Google statistics ... one of the reasons why I no longer actively participate in AfD discussions like this, except maybe (occasionally) to Comment in ones where I may have initiated a speedy delete that was overturned ... see the protocol I try to follow these days.
  2. My contributions - a tale of research ... I added information about members of Mensa International obtained from a query to the Library of Congress to accurately populate a category, but ultimately, it was a waste of energy because of a Categories for Discussion that I missed (that's what happens when you eschew watchlists.)

<Heavy Sigh!> I purged these down to less than half a dozen, and have archived them under a permanent userid ... I put a {{db-userreq}} on each of them, as well as any other legacy IP sandbox versions I could find ... in some cases that left redlinks on talk pages, so I fixed some of them, and in the case of one IP, left most of the sandboxes in place because they were linked to so many talk pages ...
