[edit] Col. Virgil Miller
Hi Tony:
Thanks for your email and your careful maintenance of these sections. Virgil Miller, is my Great Uncle. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico. After he graduated from High School in San Juan, he attended West Point, from which he graduated. He led a very fascinating life, most especially his contributions during WWII leading the 442. In addition, he was very proud to be one of the first people from Puerto Rico to graduate from West Point.
If you want further evidence of any of this- note in the "Military History of Puerto Rico" section of Wikipedia, the book that is cited, Historias de Puerto Rico- the author is Paul G. Miller. Paul G. Miller is the father of Virgil Miller. There is also a school named after him in Puerto Rico, which you can also confirm via a Google search. This is the most open source evidence I can show you, but I did not add his name lightly to this most distinguished list of Puerto Ricans.
By taking his name out, and not including him, I believe you are omitting a very interesting man from the roster.
I hope that you agree and will put his name back in Wikipedia.
Thank you,
Andrew Macaulay
Thank you for your contributions, however I must inform you that I have made a search in regard to Col. Virgil Miller and there is nothing to indicate that he was Puerto Rican. Therefore, please do not add his name to Hispanic Americans in World War II, Puerto Ricans in World War II (which are featured articles) nor to the List of Puerto Ricans military section, unless you can provide and cite a reliable verifiable source as required by Wikipedia policy. Addition of unverified contributions will be reverted and may even get you blocked from editing. Thank you . Tony the Marine 00:47, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Andrew, Thank you for your message. You would surprised to see the false information that some people add to Wikipedia (not you). I very much want to add the name Col. Virigil Miller. I wouldn't mind even writing an article about him. The only problem is that Wikipedia requires verifiable sources to be cited which can proof that he was born in P.R. If this connection can be made, it would be great. People do not realize that surnames from Puerto Rico can be of non-Hispanic origins. That is why I have written an immigration to Puerto Rico series. If you like, I invite you to read my German immigration to Puerto Rico article. If you want you can get ahold of me via e-mail, because I would like to learn more about him. Tony the Marine 16:13, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
