wow, i see that this article has stood up pretty well for three years. i was all set to tear it to shreds after i had to take the long knives to that horrible article about Cole Younger, but this is an amazingly neutral article about an incredibly controversial figure in Civil War history. thanks for all of your hard work from someone who probably sees the Kansas POV a little clearer than the Bushwhacker side!
