[edit] Removing the sockpuppet tag

Please do not remove the sockpuppet tag unless the underlying discussion has also been completed. If you continue to remove the tag it will be treated as disruption and you may be blocked from editing. GBT/C

I'm going to put a note here, since this is really getting out of hand. User:Kung Fu Man keeps slapping my talk page with this tag as a bad faith counter-measure against an edit I made to an article he unkeeps. Please see the relative AN/I and SOCK complaints in my edit history before you keep reverting this nonsense. Thank you. And note that I have made at least 10 reports of this incident already. 68.209.235.149 (talk) 20:50, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually, let me just link you to these claims to save you the trouble: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Final_Fantasy_VII_article.2C_AFD.2C_and_sock_puppets Just follow the history from there. I'm really too tired to keep all this bookmarked, and would really prefer to be left alone. 68.209.235.149 (talk) 20:54, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
You would go to WP:RFPP - that is, however, how I first came across your page. Semi-protecting your talk page would leave you unable to edit it, so I declined the original requester's request that this page be protected. Give me 5 minutes to look into this whole thing a little more, yes? GBT/C 20:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
A quick question. What was this edit about? Why did you care? GBT/C 21:12, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
That is my account. I haven't even bothered using it since it's ongoing vandalism just like my IP page is now. Vandalizing my account page just wasn't enough to illustrate this point being made against me over the AfD nomination. I really appreciate someone finally looking into this. Go through my edit history and dig up the claims related to this user and the situation with the AfD nomination, and you'll get a better understanding of the problem. I've reported this to at least 2 or 3 other administrators, as well as AIV (3 times, I believe) and ongoing SOCK and AN/I claims against the user. This really, really needs to stop. 68.209.235.149 (talk) 21:14, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, it appears as though there is a current checkuser going through here. Would it maybe be an idea to wait until the results of the second part of that checkuser come through? GBT/C 21:20, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I didn't even know about this. I guess it's fine to leave the tag intact while the checkuser is going through. I hope he enjoys being disappointed, though.
Since there is an active claim against User:Kung Fu Man as well, I guess someone should also tag his page. 68.209.235.149 (talk) 21:26, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure - there's a slight distinction between WP:RFCU and WP:SSP. It wouldn't necessarily be unreasonable to tag a user's page when they're being put through a suspected sock puppetry accusation, but on that note we appear to have come full circle - the very reason I was brought here in the first place was because you kept removing the "suspected sock puppet" tag...GBT/C 21:46, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
If you have any recommendations regarding this situation, then I'm open to suggestions. I could try a RFCU, but considering the other administrative action I've requested so far has seems to have gone unnoticed, I'm not sure what good it would do. In the meantime, we have this user slapping tags on my talk page, and when I revert his edits per vandalism, (making spurious counter-accusations against me) it immediately sets off a red flag for anti-vandalization teams. I'm not sure wether he anticipated that particular plan of action or not, but that just blurs the situation even more. I would really appreciate if someone would just get on the claim I've put in and investigate what was going on with that AfD, and the user suspected of manipulating it. 68.209.235.149 (talk) 01:30, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
