[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. For general guidelines you may want to read:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Wikipedia Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- Please consider getting a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.
- When making an edit to an article, briefly describe your changes in the edit summary box.
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically insert your username and date on the talk page.
- If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, visit the new contributors' help page, or type {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will help you as soon as possible.
Thanks again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.

[edit] Use of preview
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. —Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 01:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Use of the edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. —Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 01:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Your recent contributions to the Wikipedia article The Jeffersons are very much appreciated. However, please take a moment to look over your contributions for spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors before submitting them in final. This will help lessen the amount of copyediting work that fellow Wikipedians need to do, and will help improve the overall appearance of Wikipedia. Finally, don't take this message personally. Thank you!--Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 20:01, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please stop. If you continue to vandalise Wikipedia, as you did to Peter Davison, you will be blocked. Alex43223 Talk | Contribs | E-mail | C 05:47, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Additionally, please read WP:TRR, as you have been engaged in an Edit war. Thanks. Alex43223 Talk | Contribs | E-mail | C 05:57, 8 February 2007 (UTC) - Unfortunately, your edits to Julia (TV series) deleted the image and introduced many idiosyncracies (in capitalization etc.) and statements which are incorrect in the particular way in which you phrased them. Why not try to incrementally improve the article, instead of completely rewriting it from scratch? AnonMoos 22:57, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
P.S. What Elipongo said about the Jeffersons above applies here also. AnonMoos 22:59, 9 February 2007 (UTC) - This is your last warning. The next time you vandalise Wikipedia, as you did to Sherman Hemsley, you will be blocked from editing. --Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 11:16, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated.
- Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Some of your recent edits, such as those you made to Linda Lavin, have been considered unhelpful or unconstructive and have been reverted or removed. - Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. S.D. ¿п? § 21:15, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
