I'm creating a news site dealing with online social sports management games. Yes, I'd like to promote this site. But no, this is not advertising, since I am selling nothing. My link is no different than the link to "Online Sports Managers" on the same page. I fail to see why my link should be disallowed. My news site (smgnews.com) attempts to be just the sort of objective third-party source that Wikipedia says it needs more of. -braveowlracing Sunday, 2007-10-07 22:57UTC
- Hi, please review the guidelines on conflict of interest and external links, referenced above. According to Wikipedia policy it is inappropriate for links to websites to be inserted by their owners. - Ehheh 23:48, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
-- I see. Yes I crated this website. But I don't 'own' anything. It's something I've done as a service only. And further, did you know that I was the website's creator when you removed my link? -braveowlracing Sunday, somewhat later UTC
