[edit] Church of the Nazarene article

Thank you for your comments on the Church of the Nazarene article. I apologize if I offended you with my comments regarding the uniqueness of the denomination's stance on intoxicants. My problem with your wording is that calling something about a church "unique" implies that it something that the church is known for or something that causes it to stand out among other churches. The Church of the Nazarene's stance on intoxicants is hardly one of the defining qualities of the denomination, nor do I think that it is something that would be one of the first things that would come to mind when someone thinks of the denomination. I know that most Protestant denominations do not have this restriction, but there are a significant number that do (especially in the United States), and the Church of the Nazarene does not stand out among it. I would be like saying that speaking in tounges is a unique aspect of the Church of God; even though most Christian churches do not participate in glossolalia, there are enough that do that it is not unique to any church. In any case, whether or not this issue is uniqe to the Church of the Nazarene is subjective, so I don't think that it should be stated that way without a good citation for it. Apparently, other editors agreed since they removed it as well. --Cswrye 04:38, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
