[edit] 10 December 2006

Hello Mr. Anonymous "68.146.198.203". Please refer to the discussion section of Cross of Iron article for my points of view on the screenshots issue before reverting it to previous versions. I am trying to keep this out of arbitration comittees by talking to you directly. Thank you! Fernando K 17:52, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia is read worldwide; it is entirely possible that many of our readers do not know that Columbus, Ohio is part of the United States. And if someone has gone to the trouble to add that detail, it would be a violation of WP:CIV and probably WP:NPA to call them an "idiot" for doing so. So don't do it.

[edit] disambig

Hey, sorry to revert your edit turning Cross of Iron into a disambig page, but it didn't look like you had discussed the decision with anyone. My appologies if you have. I think in cases like this it's typical to add a note at the top of the page to teh effect of: This article is about the film. For the game, see [[Cross of Iron (game). It is not standard to add links to article sections, i think. Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions or want to discuss anything. Thanks for editing! Peace, delldot | talk 19:18, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Also, the way you went about it made the page histories not match up, which is a violation of GFDL, and I will have to revert it. Please stand by while I do so. —bbatsell ¿? 19:20, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey, just saw your note on my talk page, I guess we were leaving each other notes at the same time. I'd discuss the change with others first after bbatsell is done restoring the move, because it could be that you should just add a disambig link to the existing page rather than creating a disambig page. If the community does decide to go for the disambig page, don't forget to click "what links here" on it and repair any links to point to the right page. Peace, delldot | talk 19:24, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
ah, fuck it, this place is a waste of time. He just deleted a bunch of additions I made to the new page because he was in such a shitfire rush to delete the new page. Merry Christmas.
I have restored the film article to Cross of Iron, added a disambiguation link to the top of the article, which links to Cross of Iron (disambiguation). The film is the primary meaning of the phrase "Cross of Iron", so it should be the first response. If you disagree, you should discuss it on the article's talk page before undertaking unilateral action in the future. Also, you should ask an experienced user to do the moves for you, as the way you did them this time was not correct. Regards, —bbatsell ¿? 19:26, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Don't worry, any changes you made can be retrieved, they're not lost. He was just deleting it because a cut and paste move messes up the article history by making it look like you contributed it all. Just describe what additions you made on the talk page and he or another admin can get them back. Let me know if you need help. Peace, delldot | talk 19:46, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
