I knew him when I was in High School, I don't know any one else in the band and becuse there is another Kenny Smith on Wikipedia I can link to his page and keep it from getting deleted... any one with out their own page tends to get removed fairly quickly.

In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. [edit] notability of musicians

  • hi there. we don't keep or delete articles based on our opinion of the worth of their subjects' rôles in life, but on whether they meet our notability guidelines (WP:BAND for bands and musicians). The basic difference between the two notable alumni and the two members of These Words Are Water is that the former two have had rakes of verifiable press coverage to prove their notability, while the latter two haven't (despite your assertion that they have "major press articles", i've only seen one article from a local paper). if you know fifteen other newspeople who are notable and have sources to confirm that, feel free to add them too, but also note that "other crap exists" isn't looked on as a good reason to keep articles. note also that since the These Words Are Water and Matthew Lee Bishop articles were deleted for notability grounds, the likelihood of them remaining is lessened. cheers, tomasz. 09:27, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

In responce. Pensacola news journal isn't a local paper. several others have been listed, and I'll do my best to find about 15 more pages this kids been in the news since he was 12 years old so I know there's plenty. but maybe someone should add Christina Leavinworth to the page too. she is the major field reporter for fox news Mobile AL and she did graduate from the same school. or Cody Jordan who has tons of articles about his work on a music video for Warner Brothers Recording Artist Forever Changed(which Matt Bishop helped write several early songs) there are thousands of people from Niceville who've done as much as the people currently listed. it just seems that someone who's done more than one specific thing and has been recognized for all of it should at least get honerable mention..

how is that not a local paper? it may be a big area, but it's still a local area. as i said, yeh, by all means start articles on others if you feel they meet the notability criteria. but be aware they're likely to be nuked otherwise. cheers, tomasz. 15:46, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
