[edit] Jean Lafitte

The reason that your edits appeared to be vandalism was because you removed content and did not explian your reason for doing so in the edit summary, i have removed the warnings. Tiptoety 18:11, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please Use Edit Summaries

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. [edit] Re:Jean Lafitte

Hmm, I think he spotted as you deleting portions of the article. I'd suggest you discuss it with him. Sometimes those controversial reverts happen on Wikipedia, called "a good faith" revert, meaning that tone, manual of style, unnsessary loss of info or grammar was the edit, however it was reverted. So again, you discuss it with him because I'm not the type of person who likes to handle good faith edits without knowing a thing or two about the person or structure. --Hasek is the best 18:16, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I've tried editing Wikipedia before, but someone always yells at me so I just gave up.67.38.24.214 19:06, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
No, I encourage you to keep editing; be bold, and to get less harsh notices, I'd advise you to create an account. It provides many benefits, and other users will treat you more equally, instead of the warnings left on IP addresses' talk pages. --Hasek is the best 14:36, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
