Welcome
Hello! I've noticed that you have edited Wikipedia without logging in to an account. I'm happy that you've been contributing. However, I urge you to create an account. Here is a list of the benefits of having an account:
- You can create new pages
- After a while, you can become an administrator
- After four days, you can edit semi-protected pages
- You can use watchlists
- You can upload images
- You can keep your account from being unfairly blocked if you share an IP
- You can use scripts to better fight annoying vandalism
There are no cons to signing up for an account. In fact, there are more pros here! Signing up is completely free and you don't need to enter any personal information! Plus you can have a user page like mine! So, unless you can think of a con, sign up for an account right now! Nn123645 (talk) 12:46, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Stop with the mini-edits
You've reverted yourself three times in the span of a few minutes, and you keep doing this rash of a dozen or so edits in the space of a few minutes to the Freddie Mercury article. Please stop. You can copy the article to your namespace and work on it then submit your changes. Thanks. *Sparkhead 01:46, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Regarding this edit, Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Editing
Start using edit summaries and stop making mini-edits. It is very annoying.— miketm - Queen WikiProject - 06:43, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I note you have made many useful contributions, but edit summaries such as this are unacceptable. Firsfron of Ronchester 18:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Mini edits, summaries, again
I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! *Sparkhead 17:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Freddie Mercury, was not constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please consider...
Creating an account? Providing edit summaries? Combining edits so you don't make too many small ones? Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 02:05, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Freddie Mercury. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.
Thanks for the large-scale cleanup to Freddie Mercury. That was a big improvement. However, it would have been even better as a single big improvement, or perhaps two or three smaller ones. Firing off 50 small edits over the course of a day is distracting. It makes other editors think that you're up to no good (hence some of your changes being reverted). Furthermore, great masses of edits like that can conceal bad edits which can go unnoticed without careful scrutiny, and which might be blamed on you if discovered accidentally.
Compounding the issue is the fact that you do not use any edit summaries. Seriously, all you need is a quick sentence fragment describing what you just did. "fixed a comma" ... "removed some nonsense" ... "moved paragraph about foo so that article flows better" It doesn't need to be an essay, just a blurb. It might also help if you write the edit summary first, and then make your change; that may help you create more cohesive changes.
Also: I know that several other editors have suggested this, but please create an account. There. I'm done. -- Bigwyrm 03:53, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Freddie Mercury. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Belovedfreak 11:04, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Freddie Mercury, you will be blocked from editing. Trusilver 05:56, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Freddie Mercury, you will be blocked from editing. Trusilver 06:02, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.
- If you don't wish to see your work reverted I suggest you learn how to use the edit summary at the bottom of the screen. Being that you are an anon user and you are dealing with a highly vandalized article, you should make absolute certain everyone knows what you are doing. Also learn how to use a talk page and put your messages at the bottom. If you have any questions you can feel free to contact me, have a good evening. Trusilver 06:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you want to send uncivil and obnoxious edit summaries, then we can go down that road too. Here's your warning, I suggest you read WP:CIVIL. You can either go about your work and play by the rules or you can continue being rude which subjects you to a block. Once again, have a good night. Trusilver 06:25, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi
Re your comment to Trusilver. I have no idea what the dispute is about but your edit summary caught my attention. I just want to make sure you know that no one on Wikipedia owns any article (for the policy on this, see WP:OWN) and thus Trusilver is more than welcome to remove sections of text if he feels it is necessary, for example if it fails one of Wikipedia's policies such as neutral point of view. Furthermore, people may edit articles when they like, and you can't ask them to stop editing until you're "finished". See the disclaimer on the bottom of edit pages: If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed for profit by others, do not submit it. Again, I don't know the facts of the disagreement but I just wanted to make this clear :) Happy editing :) PageantUpdater talk • contribs 06:25, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Please assume good faith in your dealings with other editors. Please stop being uncivil to your fellow editors; instead, assume that they are here to improve Wikipedia. Jmlk17 06:41, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

- Your block has been lengthened to 1 week due to using multiple IPs/accounts to further disruptively edit.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:22, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
