[edit] Vnprotection

Please do not make such "frivolous" requests for unprortection. Myrtone@67.182.140.115.com.au

I thought this was a place anyone could edit, but that page hasn't been editable by 'anyone' for a long time, there's no reason it should be protected. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.182.140.115 (talkcontribsWHOIS) .

I considered that, I thought it was so called "frivolous" becuase you are just an IP and most users that make these requests are registered. Myrtone@67.182.140.115.com.au

I'm not an IP, i'm a person - I guess I probably didn't do the protocol exactly right but I tried to follow the posted directions on how to ask that a page be unprotected.

You don't understand, by IP, I mean an unregistered user, WP:RFP has now been semi-protected so if you want to request (un)protection, either request a registered user to do so, ask an admin(ess) on his/her talkpage, or create an account, if you choose the latter, then when you do so, please leave me a message. Good luck.Myrtone

"Wikipedia currently allows users who do not have accounts to edit pages, you should take note of this and be friendlier to those who don't have accounts." But I did consider that they can edit, for instance, articles and dicussions, but requesting a page protection is not the same. I will ask you onece again why you havn't yet created an account. Myrtone@67.182.140.115.com.au:-(

Requesting page protection - there is no notice on that page that IP users cannot modify it, and in fact a notice is given to IP users on protected pages that they may edit the protection page to request unprotection. I haven't created an account because I don't see any need to.

"Requesting page protection - there is no notice on that page that IP users cannot modify it" Why would that be, given that whenever I edit it, it do get a message that the page has been protected and only established users can edit it. Myrtone@67.182.140.115.com.au

You need to be friendlier to IP users.

You will receive better if you create an account, alright? WP:RFP has been semiprotected.Myrtone@67.182.140.115.com.au:-(

I refuse to be wiki blackmailed to get an account 67.182.140.115 04:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

I didn't think I was black mailing you, I was, as far is I am concerned, just persuading you to create an account. Myrtone:-(

[edit] Re: Michael Jackson

I'm not sure unprotecting the article is appropriate; however, I will gladly make whatever change you need to the article. In the future the best way to request a change to a s-protected article would be to place {{editprotected}} on the article's talk page. AmiDaniel (talk) 05:51, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
