From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello. I saw your edits to Timeline of Star Trek. Yes, as you put it "the years are way off". Your edit was to a section of the article which explained the timeline in common use by fandom and spin-off publications in the 1980s, as the surrounding text made clear. Thus it was supposed to be way off.

Furthermore, this edit, yes, the latter dates are now more probably correct. However, this is in a section describing what the 2nd edition of the Star Trek Chronology gives for dates. That sources give those dates. Later on, our article notes that the 2271 date is now obsolete, and gives the date that the Voyages of the Imagination timeline gives it. I'm sure these edits were intended to be helpful, but it would be good if you paid some attention to the context of things you are editing. Morwen - Talk 23:17, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Transformers (film). Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Thank you. Alientraveller 09:55, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
