Hi. While I agree for the most part with the sentiment of your change to the Kevin J. Anderson article, you need to be able to cite reputable sources for any claims made. POV is not acceptable. I've moved the entire passage to the talk page for the article. Please do not restore it without citations. SandChigger 23:29, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Citations for Kevin J. Anderson article
Please list your sources in the new section you started on the talk page BEFORE reverting the material to the main article again.
Also, is there some reason why you are not creating an account?

[edit] Answers to All Your Questions
There's a good reason I haven't created an acount yet, you just haven't figured it out yet.
And as for the citations, they ran off on me. So it might be awhile before I have them for you, so if you don't feel like telling me, I'm sure you could direct me to where I could find out how to do it myself. I'm a really busy person, so we're talking two weeks+.
- It's more usual to reply to people's comments on their talk page. (And to sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~) at the end. That creates a link that makes it easier for them to reply. Makes for spatially disjointed conversations, but that way the system knows to notify you of new messages the next time you login in or visit.)
- Now...you're right, I haven't figured out any good reason for why anyone would not create an account. You don't have to use your real name or even give an email address. And creating an account hides your IP address (which can be used to determine where you're accessing from) from everyone but an administrator.
The only reasons I can think of for insisting on anonymity is that a person feels they have some reason to hide their identity. Or that they have intentions that might be deemed less than honorable by others.(Strike that. You explained your reason elsewhere.)
- I know how it is to lose a citation and have to waste time best spent otherwise looking for it again. However, citations are essential for Wikipedia to work and succeed as intended. Neutrality of content (No POV), no original research, and verifiability (citations) are the cornerstones here.
If these things are unacceptable...well, it's not like participation here is manditory, right?(This, too; based on suspicious you have allayed.)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
