Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Tarantula (Marvel Comics) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. - Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
- The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'img[0-9]+\.imageshack\.us/img[0-9]+/.*\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|svg)' . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
- Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 20:35, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tarantula (Marvel Comics)
A little more background for you...
The "Ultimate Tarantula" has been a point of contention in the article, period.
The character was never named in the stories, nor were Bendis, Bagely, or Quisada specific about which character it was supposed to be. Up to this point no cites have ever been made of where the name was officially attached to a character. All that had been given was fan speculation.
Now, you have come up with additional information. Fine, great place to start.
However:
- Because of the item being a sore point, blind reverts to the contested state or adding without a reliable and verifiable source are going to be reverted with the caution about taking it to the article talk page.
- Imageshack is not a reliable source. Nor is it appropriate for "External links".
- The page scan that you do point to needs more information to be considered a reference: title of the publication, date of publication, published, and so on.
Please, take all of that information to Talk:Tarantula (Marvel Comics) and lay out your case there. See if the consensus is that you've got something.

- Bluntly?
- Take it to Talk:Tarantula (Marvel Comics), state your case, work with others, tone it down. In that order. - J Greb (talk) 21:00, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:59, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Compwhiz II(Talk)(Contribs) 21:21, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
