[edit] Browser

(cross-posted from my Talk page)

Ouch. Yeah, IE 5 probably won't support a lot of the modern things Wikipedia does. Pretty much your only bet is either an old version of Opera or an old version of Netscape. Neither one will handle all the new stuff, but they may be more feature-complete than IE. -- Kesh (talk) 17:53, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
For IE5 it is possible to enable cookies (per this site), however since it's such an old browser it may be a sign of a deeper incompatibility issue. To my knowledge wikipedia no longer supports IE5. Even our support for IE6 is held together with various mediawiki hacks to make the various features backward compatible. I'd certainly start by enabling cookies and seeing if that works. Good luck.--VectorPotential Talk 22:54, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
