[edit] Akalabeth
Hi. I'm glad you are friends with Richard and Elizabeth. I appreciate that you might have personal knowledge of their situation, and of the name of the game. However, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, it has to adhere to certain standards. Chief among these are the principle of verifiability (see the page WP:V for more information) and "no original research" (see the page WP:NOR for more information). The problem with using "I talked to Richard, and that's how I know" as the justification for including a statement like that in the article is that a reader has no way to verify it. If you can find a published source (say, a gaming magazine, or an interview with Garriot) where he tells this origin story, then that would be a fine reason to include the statement, and we could include that citation in the article. But generally speaking, Wikipedia is a tertiary source - we don't write about things simply because we know they are true from research we have done ourselves, but because an independently verifiable source has done the research, and we cite them.
I hope that explains why I struck the comment, and what kind of evidence should be gathered to include it. No insult or malice is intended. Nandesuka 17:47, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

You appear to be running through dozens of random articles, inserting a space here and there to trigger a change. I have no idea why you're doing this, but please stop. -- Jim Douglas 20:11, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Glosa Numbers
Hello and thank you for helping out on the Glosa page! However, I am reverting your recent edit to the numbers section- while before I believed that "eleven" and "twelve" were respectively "dek(a)-mo" and "dek(a)-bi" also. Then I found here [1] that they really are "mo-mo" and "mo-bi". If you have a source with a varying answer, please feel free to insert it as an option in the article. I really am sure that anyone one should talk to that knows Glosa could figure dek(a)-mo just as easily in reality. Thank you. Manu-vetalk pro Skicontribs 20:25, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
