Hi there. I just wanted to clarify the whole Maritime / Atlantic thing with the Canadian Senate page. I've attempted to clarify the situation in the intro, but the information was actually a little further down the page. Newfoundland and Labrador actually isn't included in that regional breakdown. Its seats are assigned without regard to the seats assigned to the rest of the country. The divisions are assigned like this:
- Ontario - 24
- Quebec - 24
- Maritime - 24
- Nova Scotia - 10
- New Brunswick - 10
- Prince Edward Island - 4
- Western - 24
- British Columbia - 6
- Alberta - 6
- Saskatchewan - 6
- Manitoba - 6
Outside of the regional divisions, Newfoundland and Labrador get six seats, and each of the territories get one seat.
Hope that clarifies things a little! --Azkar 22:43, 29 May 2005 (UTC)
