It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Steve Niles. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 22:44, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I've removed the content per WP:LIVING and WP:Reliable sources. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:22, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I will also put your page on my watchlist and will try to help remove this content if it comes back. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 23:24, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi again, Steve. First, sorry for not seeing the addition when it was added back. I'm not always on the ball with things like that, as I only see changes when they're made while I'm on patrol, and I don't have a very good memory. At any rate, I notice you have removed that section again, and that is fine, given that it is within the guidelines of WP:LIVING (and WP:RS) as listed above.
While I think your request is certainly reasonable, I must tell you that my first intention on Wikipedia is simply to attempt to keep what I define as obvious vandalism out of articles. I am not the best person to seek for content control. That said, I will try to keep the content in question out of the article, but I hope you can understand first that my editing priorities lie more with a goal of holistic protection of articles (especially controversial ones) in the project rather than of content disputes.
That said, I have read the content that's being added, and I wholeheartedly feel it is trivial, weaselly, and out-of-place, not to mention unencyclopedic. I personally feel you are right to remove it in its current incarnation, and I will only change this stance if policy dictates.
If this content comes back and I miss it again, feel free to contact me. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 04:35, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
