[edit] Re: Your edits to Storm Large
Please read What Wikipedia is not, especially Wikipedia is not a soap box and links normally to be avoided (to see if any of it applies to you). I don't know what's going on with the edit war between the two fan sites, and I don't care which one is "better", but the additions you add to the title ("all the all the pics", etc.) border on POV and also advertising. I had put the two sites in alphabetical order ("fan" vs. "fans"). It is no reflection on which site "should" come first. This is an encyclopedia, not a fan site. If this edit warring continues, I may delete both the links and have the page semi-protected. Please chill out. Thanks. Katr67 14:50, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Mumps. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Dina 13:40, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Mwanner | Talk 15:14, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Radio stations
Please note that Wikipedia has very clear policies on the formatting and writing style of articles on here; you are not at liberty to disregard them by making our articles look and sound like Corus Entertainment's marketing materials. You are also absolutely not permitted to rewrite Wikipedia articles to disparage the subject, as you did at CHTZ-FM. Please note that you will be temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia if you continue to edit radio station articles in this manner. Bearcat 19:42, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- This is your second warning. Leave the articles alone; it is not your pregrogative to override Wikipedia's style and formatting requirements. Bearcat 23:41, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Commenting with Bearcat here and expanding on it, be careful buddy. You're really starting to seem like someone who works for Corus, which will get you blocked. Some of your edits, such as the ones you made to CFPL-FM are seemingly good faith. I've had to re-do the first paragraph cause of you you sound like a Corus salesman (very unencyclopedic, this is what Wikipedia is eh?), and it's not wikified. There are other stylistic problems that Bearcat described to me - for instance, although radio stations with an active rock format tend to brand themselves "New Rock", the name of their format is active rock, and that's the name that has to be used on Wikipedia. Secondly, we can't give a station's brand name precedence over its legal call sign as the primary name of the station; we note both, certainly, but we can't pretend the brand name is the more important identifier. Be sure you go to the Introduction and read all that other stuff that buddy left you up at the top of this page. You also removed some content. If you disagree with some stuff that's on there, be sure to discuss it on an article's talk page first. Again, be careful when editing. Besides your stylistic problems, your tone is inappropriate, as Wikipedia is NOT a place to advertise. Thank you. -- Reaper X 23:57, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
This is your third and final warning. If you make any further attempts to override proper Wikipedia style and formatting on a radio station's article to something that reads more like a Corus press release than an encyclopedia article, you will be at least temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia. Bearcat 16:27, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
