I cannot simply condone editing a biographical article and insert comments re. the subject's masturbatory practices. Firstly, it's a gross violation of the Biographies of Living Persons policy, it's unsourced (a gesture in the direction of "autobiography" is insufficient), it's unencyclopedic even given the subject. Frankly, given your edits to-date, this is looking a lot like some kind of vendetta. What do Andrea James, Deirdre McCloskey and Joan Roughgarden have in common, apart from the obvious? Response: Read her autobiography. Everything I wrote is in it. If you have a problem with it, it's your problem. Do you want me to reference page numbers to her autobiography? Or what?   • Pursue away. You made some fascinating and highly amusing comments on my talk page just now. You've been warned. Posting defamatory content to biographical articles as you have is just not on.   • Let me make it perfectly clear; if you wish to add something to a biographical article of a living person, it must be properly sourced. Some blog or other simply will not do, especially if it's potentially offensive or defamatory. I'm sure you can understand why that would be the case. If you wish to add content, you are free to do so and constructive, encyclopedic edits are very welcome here but the onus is upon you to ensure it meets our policy. If not, someone like me will come along and revert out your changes. Ultimately, to protect the encyclopedia and/or the article's subject, you will be blocked from editing. This applies to us all, including me. As I've already shown, you can read about our biographical policy at WP:BLP. Furthermore, everything must be done in an encyclopedic tone and with a neutral point-of-view. Thanks - Alison ☺ 06:03, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm spending more time here than I should :). Anyways - see this edit from yesterday? That was a blatant attack on Prof. Roughgarden and little else. It's not NPOV as we say. Rather than deleting it, because it's based on fact and well cited, I removed the POV words ("unprecedented"/"prestigious"??) and added the missing bit; Prof. Roughgarden and her team's reply for balance. Then I tidied up the reference list to make it look pretty. You just strengthened the tone again just now, but it's still reasonably acceptable. See what I'm saying? I don't have to be "transgender" here (though I'm not) - I don't have to have a bias (though I may). We all need to keep ourselves in check and work towards making this encyclopedia something we can all be proud of. And that is my only agenda here. - Alison ☺ 06:11, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Ok - I've done my best here. Wikipedia is not your arena for your personal agenda against Andrea James, Joan Roughgarden nor Deirdre McCloskey. I don't know what your problem is, but I can hazard a fair guess. I have done my best to help here, to show you the rules regarding biographical articles of living persons and neutral point of view but you're just not listening. You're not here to actually contribute to the project, rather you're here to talk about the masturbatory habits of certain persons as well as prying into the private lives of others, including a well-known editor here. Creating an account in her old legal name with a view to posting in her own biographical article is just not on. [1] It's harassment at best and impersonation at worst, I'm now blocking your IP address as well as indefinitely blocking the aforenamed account. You've been repeatedly warned here.
