[edit] Airline holding comapnies navigation box
I posted this message to User talk:63.215.26.148 last night, but since you refuse to get an account and your dynamic IP address has changed again, you apparently didn't see it. I'm posting it here too.
I've removed your second third attempt at an airline holding companies navigation box from Trans World Corporation. For one, something like this should be a template, not built within the article page. Second, we already have Category:Airline holding companies which effectively does the same thing. Please join the discussion about this template at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airlines#Regional and Mainline Airline Holding Companies of the United States before attempting to recreate this again. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 16:59, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll convert it to a template tonight. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 18:58, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Grand !

[edit] P.S.
Was trying to come up with a way of not cluttering the opreational units of the organizations so it is more legible and readable without being overwhelming for the lay reader. Also I am going to be contributing to the airline brand section with Southern Skyways 63.215.26.146 (talk) 19:57, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Going to mention too
We already discussed having IATA codes in the templates at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airlines after you added them to {{Navbox Airlines of the United States}} and the consensus was that they shouldn't be there. Historians should know better than to need codes to find what they're looking for in a navigation box. Let the article deal with that. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 18:07, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Well suggest to your cadre that to adequately trace history...of airlines it may need to be reevaluated.
Not for the section about the airline box but for the section pertainging to airline holding companies.... history is very imporatant especially in this day and age of airline mergers. That is unless you have something against being able to trace airline history?
Glad you are discussing these things

- I think the same holds for both {{Navbox Airlines of the United States}} and {{Airline holding companies of the United States}}. Adding the airline's IATA code to the airline listings doesn't help at all. It's not up to the navigation boxes to contain history, that should be in the articles themselves. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 01:54, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
