Greetings,
I took the liberty of reverting your edit to the Jesus article. While you're completely correct that Jesus' burial was an entombment, that word is still a "subset" of burial, and burial is acceptable for entombment even if the body or the grave is not covered with dirt. Additionally, with "burial" being the more commonly accepted word (even in the English translation of the New Testament and various various Christian creeds), it leads to far less confusion.
However, I also want to thank you for a well thought out distinction: my only objection was not to the accuracy of the edit (because you were accurate), but that it was perhaps a bit more precise or technical than this article needed. Justin Eiler 05:27, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- I like "entombment": It's more precise, and I don't think it's too technical. "Buried" is also correct, but is less precise. BTW, this anonymous IP belongs to SBC Internet Services. Arch O. LaTalkTCF 06:07, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
