[edit] Dick Cheney

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Owen× 04:04, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean, can you give me an example of my violation?

Ah never mind I see, sorry I was testing it for the sandbox and hit cancel, but wikipedia crashed on me, forgive me

[edit] Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for vandalizing Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Yamla 05:45, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism? Since the Vesper Lynd character has a photo, I thought to use it on Eva Green's. I thought since that photo can be used, why not on the actress’s page? I don’t see any vandalism here, can you explain the 'blatant vandalism' accusation? And after only one edit I am blocked 24hrs? Is Wikipedia a place for such heavy handed tactics that one simple edit is a block? Again maybe if the edit in question was obviously evil, but this? This is from the vandalism page of Wikipedia:

Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia.
The most common types of vandalism include the addition of obscenities to pages, page blanking, or the insertion of bad jokes or other nonsense. Fortunately, these types of vandalism are usually easy to spot.
Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Apparent bad-faith edits that do not make their bad-faith nature inarguably explicit are not considered vandalism at Wikipedia. For example, adding a personal opinion once is not vandalism — it's just not helpful, and should be removed or restated.
Committing blatant vandalism, however, is a violation of Wikipedia policy; once it is spotted it should be dealt with accordingly — if you cannot deal with it yourself, you can seek help from others.
Not all vandalism is obvious, nor are all massive or controversial changes vandalism; careful attention needs to be given to whether changes made are beneficial, detrimental but well-intended, or outright vandalism.

You are saying my edit was outright, blatant vandalism? Did I compromise the integrity of Wikipedia? How? By using an accepted photo from a page on Wikipedia? I think this block is a severe overreaction and could be seen as abuse of power--63.167.255.24 06:03, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Your edit removed a warning message stating that only freely-licensed images could be used to depict living people. It warned you to be sure you had read and understood WP:FU. The image you added was not a freely-licensed image. The image itself, Image:Casino-royale-still15a.jpg, specifically states that it may not be used solely to depict Eva Green. I don't know how much more blatant you can get. --Yamla 06:08, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
And yes, your violation of WP:FU places the Wikipedia in legal jeopardy. Your act was a violation of our fair-use policy and a violation of the copyright license available to us for the image itself. It's not clear to me how we could have been more clear on this. You ignored the warning on the page itself. You ignored the WP:FU policy. You violated the license on the image page. And you ignored the explicit note on the image that it may not be used as you were using it. --Yamla 06:10, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nemesis

Please do not insert poorly worded crap into articles, trivia that is pertinent to the article is OK but should be avoided (see WP:AVTRIV), your text is irrelevant. Discuss it on the talk page if you wish to reinsert. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 15:15, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
