[edit] You know what?
I really don't like it when people react like you. Yeah, I'm the 'idiot' from the Where the Streets Have No Name page. Sure, I made a mistake. It was a really stupid mistake, and I should have looked closer and read it more clearly. But I didn't, and that's how we learn. Why, then, did you choose to react the way you did? I'm stupid because I'm young, but I know I can help Wiki. I just need time. It seems that you don't care, though, and would rather insult the uneducated than educate them yourself. It's going to take me a long time before I can do as well as any of the people here. I'm in the top 1% of my reading level for my current age group. I'm also in the top 1% for geography and science, and 3% for math. So yes, I am an idiot. But one day I'll become the kind of person who can do things the way YOU like to. Until then, you might want to treat people a little better. --69.145.122.209 21:44, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
And I notice that you yourself made the statement about 'Ali' a bit less ambigious in wordplay. It was confusing, was it not? Just because you got it and I didn't does not give you the right to flame. --69.145.122.209 21:46, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Since I'm still burning here, and the fact that there's no way to confront a person face to face over the internet (which makes it all the more frustrating) I figure I might as well say one last thing. This is not the first time I've done something really stupid, and I'm sure it won't be the last. You, however, are the first person to have ever reacted with such venom. While to words (you idiot) may not mean a lot to you, they do mean a lot to me. That really hurt, hard as it may be to believe. You'll never know how deep comments like that cut unless you feel them for youself. --69.145.122.209 21:56, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Get used to it. I did; you will. You made a flatly asinine edit without even reading the surrounding text, which would have enlightened you; how can you possibly expect to have your edits taken seriously when you clearly lack background knowledge, and lack the wherewithal to read the text which PRESENTS said background knowledge? In my book, that's grounds for censure. WIKI stands for "what I know is", not "what I think is", and certainly not "what my immediate knee-jerk reaction to reading this article was." Furthermore, you lack even the credibility of a registered username. Taken in sum, my response was entirely appropriate. 63.134.135.42 00:44, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

- While the edit may have been wrong, and needed reverting, there was no need to call the anon IP an idiot. Wikipedia:No personal attacks suggests your response was entirely inappropriate. SFC9394 00:52, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Credibility? Take a look at yourself; you're naught but a random number floating in cyberspace. Welcome to my world, enjoy your stay. Had you any more experiance you probably would have posted your response on my userpage, which is something I learned a while ago. That's right, I learned it. I have to, because I obviously don't know things automatically. Go back and read the entire thing; the fact that 'Ali' is in the same sentance as 'Jesus' and 'God' makes it feel somehow tied to religion. I don't know if you noticed, but that particular page doesn't have a ton of edits. In my book, that points to someone being a jerk and trying to make is sound like Bono was Muslim, then leaving it there because no one ever reads the whole page. Hate to tell you this, but I do know a bit about U2. I assumed I was helping out Wikipeda.
I know now it needed reverting, and I know it was a stupid mistake. Whoop dee doo. That doesn't give you the right to flame me, nor does it give you the right to flame others (which I'm sure you do). --69.145.122.209 19:42, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
