[edit] Shared IP
Before blocking this IP, please note that it is a large proxy operated by UK ISP NTL, and used by multiple legitimate users. Thanks. UkPaolo 20:45, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome
Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires you to provide no personal information, and gives you many benefits, including:
- The use of a username of your choice
- The ability to view all your contributions via a "My contributions" link
- Your own user page
- Your own talk page which, if you choose, also allows users to send you messages without knowing your e-mail address
- The use of your own personal watchlist to which you can add articles that interest you
- The ability to rename pages
- The ability to upload images
- The ability to customize the appearance and behavior of the website
- The eligibility to become an administrator
- The right to be heard in formal votes and elections, and on pages like votes for deletion
- Your IP address will no longer be visible to other users.
We hope that you choose to become a Wikipedian and create an account. Thanks, Alphax τεχ 11:07, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Stop with your vandalism. If want to play around editing please do so in the Wikipedia:Sandbox. andy 10:32, 25 Nov 2003 (UTC)
Please don't copy and paste material such as Shara Nelson from other websites. Copyright violations can cause legal problems for Wikipedia. RickK 23:26, Jun 4, 2005 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --W(t) 17:06, 2005 Jun 12 (UTC)
Ahem, wtf are u talking about sire? I do not practice "vandalism".
You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. Putting 'delete' tags on another user's page is vandalism. Removing a 'delete' tag from an article you created is against policy. You're blocked for 48 hours. Lachatdelarue (talk) 15:25, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Anus and your comment to User:Carnildo
Articles related to sexuality (or sexual organs) and religion can be an issue on which a lot of wikipedians disagree. Your best bet to get images removed is to discuss it on the related talk page.
Also, please note that calling Carnildo a "cunt" is completely out of line and against the No personal attacks policy. Accusations against admins are taken very seriously, but they should contain the evidence to support it. If you don't have the time yourself, ask someone else to do it.
Alternatively, you could ask Raul654 for a more detailed explanation of the block. He might just've made a mistake. If you ask for sanctions immediately you'll never know and only cause bad blood between you. - Mgm|(talk) 10:53, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] David Banks
My opinion is that he is a valid subject for a bio article, see Wikipedia:Criteria for inclusion of biographies, points 4 and 5. --TimPope 20:36, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] IP Address unbanned
There was a registered user (User:Confusedmiked) complaining about being banned off of this IP address . I am unbanning it and seeing what happens. — Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 21:46, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Clear vandalism on Shakespeare and dubious edit on Chemical reaction which got reverted. Other edits on musical groups are probably valid. It would be best to block IP and always require username to separate good editors from weed. Pavel Vozenilek 17:44, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Last warning

[edit] Talkpage
If that is the case, don't blank MARMOT's talkpage. Users don't "own" their talkpage the same way as they "own" the userpage, and erasing content critical of the user only adds to the impression that there is an attempt to cover things up. Sjakkalle (Check!) 14:50, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Don't Ban IP!
Please note this is a shared IP from UK ISP NTL. I'm sure there are some genuine members who use the IP, myself included, and I note from a comment above that there must have been another registered user previously effected by a block, too. UkPaolo 17:59, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Well we have a known problem user editing from this IP, so that makes it a little tough. I take it from the fact you edited here, that you are not currently blocked? Better yet, please ask your ISP to break up this proxy because their customers are causing problems. - Taxman Talk 20:36, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)
- Unfortunately it's a large shared proxy used by NTL, there'd be no chance of them changing it :o( UkPaolo 20:45, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Additions to Simon the Sorcerer series
You have recently added some text to the Simon the Sorcerer series article. Included in the text are three claims:
- It was almost universally condemned by critics
- It was a financial flop
- It angered the fans of the orginal games
I have removed this text because it is not sourced. Do you have a reference for these three claims? --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 16:45, August 2, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] The Mandellas
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! FreplySpang (talk) 12:05, August 12, 2005 (UTC)

Please read Wikipedia:Criteria for inclusion of biographies to see why your biography at Simon richardson doesn't warrant inclusion at Wikipedia. Harro5 03:03, August 20, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Recent vandalism
Whilst I appreciate this IP has recently been the source of unwanted vandalism, please be aware that as per the notice above, it is a shared proxy by UK ISP, NTL. As such, it is shared by a large number of users, and any admins tempted to block the IP would be affecting plenty of genuine contributors, such as myself. Annoyingly, blocking of this IP is all too common. UkPaolo 21:46, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
- Please understand that you are not alone -- all of us here share your frustration. Generally speaking, Wikipedia administrators are well-aware which IP ranges belong to National Transcommunications and have specific procedures for dealing with NTL-based vandals. That said, there are unfortunately instances where it is necessary to temporarily block an "anonymous" NTL IP address due to persistent vandalism.
- As a paying subscriber, you may want to take this up with your ISP directly, complete with IP addresses and time stamps of the vandals edits which ultimately brought you here. If they are unable to provide you with any sort of resolution, you may want to consider changing to an alternet service provider, if possible. My condolences for the inconvenience caused by your fellow users; if there is anything else I can do to be of assistance, please let me know. Hall Monitor 22:18, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Oddly enough
I'm not even WITH NTL. How odd is that? -a confused guest
- Well, you're certainly coming from an IP address in a space owned by NTI. Perhaps your ISP or company uses NTI to carry its traffic. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 22:34, August 31, 2005 (UTC)
- Odd indeed, because Réseaux IP Européens reports otherwise. Hall Monitor 22:35, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
I'm with Virgin, I changed from NTL when they decided not to do broadband in my local area
- In any case, NTL is ultimately responsible for the IP address you are originating from. NTL may be subletting. Hall Monitor 22:40, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
- Yup, per http://www.internetnews.com/bus-news/article.php/496871 NTL sublets to Virgin, Orange and AT&T. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 23:16, August 31, 2005 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
