Why do you insist that Quezon City is the capital of the Philippines? Please reply on my talk page. --TantalumTelluride 01:28, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for replying. The CIA World Factbook lists Manila as the capital. Then again, the CIA has not been very accurate with its intellegence lately. Can you provide a reference that says Quezon City is the official capital? --TantalumTelluride 01:43, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] It might be NCR
NCR Stands for National Capital Region it is also called Metro Manila where Manila and Quezon city belong to. Manila, an old city, 2nd largest was the city Spain had captured when it occupied the archipelago. It is also where Malacanang Palace, the official residence of the President, is situated. Quezon City is NCRs largest and it is where a lot of goverment agencies operate. So, the capital might be NCR.
- Yes, I agree. At least readers can follow the link to Metro Manila, where they can find more information about the unusual situation. I'm sorry about the confusion. --TantalumTelluride 03:19, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
