The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008, with the honors for the Creative Arts to be held eight days earlier on Saturday, September 13. The ceremony will be televised live (tape delay on the west coast) on ABC.

On March 11, 2008, it was announced that both the Primetime ceremony and Creative Arts ceremonies would move into the newly-opened 7,100 seat Nokia Theatre at the L.A. Live entertainment complex in Downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to the Staples Center. The Governor's Ball is scheduled to take place at the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center.[2]
