THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME 1 JULY - 18 NOVEMBER 1916
Battle of Le Transloy 1-18 October 1916: Swinging a 60-pounder Mk I gun round to haul up into position at Bazentin-le-Petit.
Comment : The gun is on a Mk II carriage with 5 ft steel tractor wheels.
Note : this version of the IWM image has had brightness and contrast artificially increased to highlight detail.
