Simon East - Born in December 1992 5 days before christmas. Parents Suzie and Stephen knew he was something special after they found a £20 note on the pavement the day of his birth. His first home was in Tanterton in Preston at the age of 2 his family moved to Longsands in Preston near the local ASDA. At the age of 4 the family moved again into what is still the family home. He currently lives in Fulwood.

He began attending Our Lady and St Edwards Primary School in 1997 and left in 2004. During this time his artistic talent was first realised. Also a keen sportsman during his youth Simon played for his school B-Team in his 2nd to last year and then in his last year joined the A-team and was appointed captain, which was proven by the armband. He sat his first major exams in the summer of 2004. His SAT's. Achieving a very high score of 3 fives for Maths, English and Science. H also achieved the mathematics award for achieving the highest maths result in the year.

During his short footballing career Simon played for the well known but not so good Deepdale juniors. He was the main defender and was praised by the manager as being a great asset to the teams Defense and Morale. Although an aggresive temper sometimes shone out of his usually timid exterior usually no harm came to those near him.

When Simon joined his local Cub Scout group he was always seen by the leaders as the bad apple of the back. He was very competive and worked very well for his cub football team. As said so by his former manager Steve Flynn who saw he could be destined for great things. He was sadly kicked out of his Cub Scout group after writng a rather rude poem about his cub leaders although they had previously told him to write a poem and failed to specify if rude words were alowed.

In 2004 Simon began his 1st year at Our Lady's Catholic high school. His mathematics and art skills continued to grow but his enjoyment of football slowly began to decrease. He later (in 2005) quit his deepdale juniors football team after nearly 3 years of service. His talent in art was immeidiatly recognised and praised by Miss Consiglio. But his maths talent was not. In 2007 he sat his Year 9 SAT's and achieved one of the highest scores in the year by getting one 8 and two 7's. This was one of his proudest moments in his life to date. It was an incredible achievement as a lot of trouble and distress had happened in the previous 9 months.

His beloved grandad who he saw almost everyday since he was born died just meters away from him after having a heart attack whilst up a ladder in the back garden. He was told on many occasions to stop but he wouldn't listen. He was just in his 80's and recovering from an operation on his heart 3 years before. He had never fully recovered.

Simon is currently in Year 10 and now taking his GCSE's and still visits his Grandma most days after school. His parents are seperated and life is slowly wandering along.
