This article is intended to be a repository for the information regarding the Legion at List of Star Wars clone trooper legions, and I intend to merge 501st Clone Trooper Legion into this article within the next day. I believe this is the correct name for an article on the Legion, as they were both a "Clone Trooper" and a "Stormtrooper" Legion at various times. [edit] Endor?

I just did some fixes to the article, and I couldn't help but notice that it is stated that the 501st was Palpy's "legion of my best troops" on Sanctuary Moon. I've not heard or read of any such thing. Do we know for sure that they were the Legion on Endor? It seems to me that they weren't- after all, the Legion on Sanctuary Moon was beaten pretty badly by the Ewoks/Rebels, and I doubt there would have been many left over for the post-Endor power struggles (the article, as well as their Databank entry, states that the unit was torn apart by the internecine fighting after Endor).

I know the 501st is said to be the best of the best and all that, so it would initially seem logical that Palps would refer only to them and them alone as his 'LOMBT', but it also wouldn't be the first time he had more than one of a seemingly unique servant (Emperor's Hand, anyone?).

Basically, I'm just wondering what the source of this information is. Is it simply Palpy's LOMBT statement? --DarthBinky 03:04, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

I removed the references to the Legion being at Endor. If someone can provide a source stating it was there (other than the LOMBT statement I mentioned previously), I'll more than gladly put the references back in there. I've still not seen anything to suggest the Legion was there. --DarthBinky 17:30, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Were all clones made at Kamino?

Initially, yes. According to the game Battlefront II, further clones were made elsewhere after the rise of the Empire, and they came from templates other than Jango Fett. --DarthBinky 17:30, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A Few Small Mistakes

The article states that the 501st and the 65th legions faught in the Battle of Geonosis. This is inacurate. While the clones from the 501st were in fact participants in the battle, the 501st Legion had not been officially formed at the time. The 65th legion wasn't in existance at the time either, nor were any of its toops. The 65th Homeworld Security Shocktrooper Legion was raised and trained on Coruscant itself, rather than Kamino, following the passing of the Homeworld Security Command. They were never intended to leave Coruscant and were only instructed on how to act as martial police in the city. 12.76.79.253 21:52, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Shadow Xander

[edit] Survived Yavin?

It said that most of the Legion survived the battle of Yavin and that was because they were looking for the death star plans but at that point the plans were already found and from the Yavin mission it also said about 1/2 of the legion was on the Death Star when it blew up and another 1/3 was in the blast an I don't think that 1/6 is most of the legion Rofur (talk) 01:45, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
