4 Engineer Support Regiment is a regiment of the Canadian Military Engineers located at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick. It is tasked to provide general engineer support to the whole of the Canadian Forces.
4 ESR was officially formed when 4 Combat Engineer Regiment returned from CFB Lahr in Germany when 4 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group was stood down. 4 CER absorbed 22 Field Engineer Squadron which was already located at CFB Gagetown.
According to the unit website it consists of 41 Construction Squadron, 42 General Support Squadron, and 48 Administration Squadron; however, 2 Combat Engineer Regiment transferred back 22 Field Squadron which provides support to 2nd Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment.
