A Short Sunderland Mark III operated by No. 461 Squadron RAAF.

AWM Caption: PEMBROKE DOCK, WALES. 1944? MARK V SUNDERLAND AIRCRAFT 'P' PETER OF NO. 461 SQUADRON RAAF TOUCHING DOWN AFTER AN ANTI-SUBMARINE PATROL IN THE BAY OF BISCAY. NOTE THIS AIRCRAFT WAS FITTED WITH FIXED FIRING 20MM CANNON IN THE NOSE.
