[edit] Overview

Episode 12 is a new episode planned for implimentation on Korean servers during the last half of 2007, with a variety of new content. The 11th Sakray test session is expected to contain the following updates.

[edit] Episode 12.X: The Resurrection of Satan Morroc

  • Following the storyline of Ragnarok, the great demon Satan Morroc breaks free from his underground seal, destroying the city of Morroc. From the ruins lies a gateway to another world. Also planned is a new update to the Lighthalzen Bio-Laboratory. This update is planned for November - December 2007.

[edit] Additional Items

36 new cards will be added (Presumably starting where the previous card update left off). Also, new socket enchanted items and god-level items will be added.

[edit] Memorial Dungeon System

  • The Memorial Dungeon System is a system that allows the creation of instances (unique maps created solely for your party), for use with special missions. Two instance missions are planned with the implimentation of the memorial dungeon system, planned for release November 2007.

[edit] Ancient Seal

  • Ancient Seal is a planned instance mission for a large party of players. Beneath the monestary lies a seal where Baphomet has been locked away. The players must attempt to reinforce and hold these seals against attacks.

[edit] Infinity Tower

  • The Infinity Tower is a planned instance mission for a large party of players. The Infinity Tower is an endless set of increasingly difficult challenges as players make their way up the tower.

[edit] Bound Item System

  • The Bound Item System is a way that locks equipment so that it can only be used by that character. These bound items are given as rewards for quests, pvp, and memorial dungeon instances, and does not apply to regular dropped items from monsters. The Bound Item System is planned for implimentation as part of the Memorial Dungeon System on November 2007.

[edit] WoE 1.5

  • WoE 1.5 is a new War of Emperium system that expands, but does not replace the existing WoE system. Ten new castles will be added, 5 to the Schwarzwald Republic, and 5 to the Arunafeltz States. These castles are created differently than existing War of Emperium maps, as they are nearly 2-3 times their size and encompase a single map with no warp portals, and require the attackers to control strategic points and break down gates in order to reach the Emperium. WoE 1.5 takes place at different times as regular WoE, and the actual times vary each week. The Schwarzwald WoE 1.5 is planned for September 2007, and Arunafeltz WoE 1.5 is planned for December 2007.

[edit] God Items Quest 2.0

A new quest will be added pertaining to the new castles to enable the creation of the additional god-level items.

[edit] Moscovia

The Moscovia update will be added during this episode/testing period.

[edit] New PVP System

  • In development is a new PVP system with special direction, objectives, and rewards. Two battlefields are planned for this new PVP system, with its implimentation planned for November 2007.

[edit] RO Renewal Plan

  • A series of optimizations are planned for both client and server. The client will receive new updates to its accessability. The user interface will be improved, a quest management system will be added, and a new way to manage chat and battle messages. Network code will be optimized and the effects of network lag and congestion should be minimized. In addition, there will be new tuning and balancing done to classes and monsters to accommodate the addition of 3rd classes in 2008. These updates will be added in irregularly over the course of the episode 12 season.

[edit] Overview

Episode 13 features new Third Class jobs, and a new PVP system.

[edit] Another World

From the ruins of Morroc, players can enter a new world. This world will be completely different from what you know exists in Midgard. It is a high level land controlled by several major factions. Players can choose to side with one of these factions and perform quests specific to them.

[edit] Third Jobs

  • Credit for "appearance" and "skill concepts" goes to Lune of RagnaInfo.
  • 3-1: First half of 2008.
  • 3-2: Second half of 2008.
  • It is unclear whether: Regular second class (2-1 and 2-2) ONLY (meaning no transcendent characters) can change into 3-1 and 3-2. -OR- both 2-1, 2-2, and their transcendent counterparts can change into third classes, with higher bonuses for those who rebirth first.
  • When going from 2-X -> 3-X, a character's base level will be kept the same, and their level limit (99) will increase (150).
  • It has been mentioned that a different status point system will be implemented to balance out the 99+ levels.
2nd Class 3rd Class Appearance Skill Concepts
Hunter Ranger Colors are based upon green / army camouflage set, and added leather-like accessories. Military-like appearance with sporty look. Added an Wolf summoning skill. Said wolf can be used as a mount to move. Strengthens existing bow skills. Improved single-target traps, as well as allowing usage of multiple traps to achieve new effects.
Blacksmith Mechanic Based on image of a knowledgeable mechanic. Wears a one piece work outfit. Added more weapons that can be created. Can now create auto-attacking turrets that were originally slated to be released with the transcendent jobs. Improved skills that make use of items rather than direct battle.
Wizard Warlock The clothing is simple to allow easy movement. Focused on concept of a caster that is specialized in large-scale battles. Added poison property spells. Strenghtened ghost property spells. Super strong very large AoE damage spells that can be cast when multiple Warlocks are together. Can mix different types of spells to achieve new effects. Powerful and destructive class.
Assassin Guillotine Cross Appears similar to Loki from original Ragnarok manga. Tights made of bone and extended claws of sharpened blades. Like Assassins, a typical DPS type class. Based around on very strong damage, but when a skill fails, there will be backlash effect to the user. Many different types of new poisons will be added. Also, armed with many new skills using poisons.
Knight Rune Knight Appears similar to Chaos and his armor set from original Ragnarok manga. Looks like a fast attacking type. More offensive-oriented than Knights or Lord Knights. Reduced reliance on defensive gears. Skills will be more offensive-oriented. They will also use "Rune", a special type of Mana, to perform their skills.
Priest Archbishop Males appear like those serious members of the clergy. Females look like the pope in Rachel temple. Improved existing supportive skills. Many new anti-Demon/Undead skills will be added. However, selecting them will reduce effectiveness or lose out on some of the supportive skills. Added skills that allows the Arch Bishop to do physical melee damage.

[edit] Faction PVP

  • In this new world, the player will eventually have to ally with one of the 2-3 factions available. At certain times (outside of regular WoE hours) there will be a large scale battle between these factions. The exact mechanics of this pvp system is unknown, though it is said there will be some type of reward for participating.

From the ruins of Morroc, players can enter a new world. This world will be completely different from what you know exists in Midgard. It is a high level land controlled by several major factions. Players can choose to side with one of these factions and perform quests specific to them. IT will be Asgard

THIS IS A FICTIONAL ADDITION TO THE WAR OF EMPERIUM SYSTEM. ITS ONLY GROUNDING IS IN FANTASY AND IS NOT ANY SORT OF OFFICIAL PATCH LISTING FOR ANY OFFICIAL VERSION OF RAGNAROK. NONE OF THIS IS, HAS, OR IS EXPECTED TO BE IMPLEMENTED ON ANY OFFICIAL RAGNAROK SERVER.

[edit] WoE 2.0 - New Swartzwald "CTF" War of Emperium System

  • 4 New Castles - Juno, Einbroch, Lighthalzen, Hugel
Image:fort.jpg

All 4 castles follow all current WoE mechanics except where otherwise changed. These mechanics ONLY apply to the 4 new castles:

[edit] Battle

  • Red points on the map indicate entrances. The green dots are capture points.
  • The attacking guild will have to capture set locations from the defending team. In order to take a capture point, the attacking guild must outnumber the defenders within a specific area. Once the defenders are outnumbered 3:1 by attackers, that point is lost. In order to take it back, the defenders must outnumber the attackers 3:1. If there are no defenders at a capture zone then it can be captured with just 1 person. The status of each of these points as they are taken will be broadcast locally within the map with message such as "The defenders have lost the top left capture zone", or "The defenders have recaptured the bottom right capture zone".
  • The gold dot at the center of the map is the location for the Emperium, which is hidden when it is invulnerable. Once it appears, the Emperium would be vulnerable as it is currently, and if the Emperium is destroyed, the fort is lost to the attacking team. If the defending team recaptures the capture points and controls 2 or more, the Emperium will disappear/become invulnerable and the attacking team will need to recapture the points in order for the Emperium to become visible again.
  • When the Emperium respawns, it will come back with full HP. The Emperium can still be healed using sanctuary while it is vulnerable.

[edit] Guild Dungeons

  • The 4 castles each have access to all 4 guild dungeons (Prontera, Payon, Geffen, Aldebaran).

[edit] Allies/Antagonists

  • By setting a guild as an Antagonist, that guild will be penalized in an enemy guild's castle and will require a 4:1 ratio to take control of a capture point.
  • Allied guilds will have their members count as defenders in an allied castle.

[edit] Treasure

  • The 4 new castles will have access to new items in their treasure boxes, along with items previously implemented in the original castles.
  • Juno Castle Treasure
    • Survivor Manteau, Elunium, Oridecon, Ygg Berry, Stone Buckler [1], Shoes [1], Tribal Solidarity, Fricca's Circlet, Boots [1], Muffler [1]
  • Lighthalzen Castle Treasure
    • Bloodied Shackle Ball, Elunium, Oridecon, Ygg Berry, Old Card Album, Glittering Jacket [1], Tribal Solidarity, Safety Ring, Greaves [1], Chain Mail [1]
  • Hugel Castle Treasure
    • Heavenly Maiden Robe [1], Elunium, Oridecon, Ygg Berry, Tribal Solidarity, Marionette Doll [1], Boots [1], Survivor Rod [1] (Int), Legion Plate Armor [1]
  • Einbroch Castle Treasure
    • Unholy Touch, Elunium, Oridecon, Ygg Berry, Tribal Solidarity, Old Card Album, Beret, Ring [1], Muffler [1], Dragon Wing, Lord's Clothes [1]

[edit] Changes to Original War of Emperium Castles

These changes only apply to the 20 currently implemented castles in Prontera, Payon, Aldebaran and Geffen.

  • Urgent Call can only be cast in castles owned by that guild or its allies.

[edit] Changes to War of Emperium (General)

This includes both new and old castles.

  • Guild skills all now have separate timers. Relogging will no longer reset the timers.
  • When the Emperium is broken in a castle, everyone but the guild who broke it is sent back to their save points. Anyone currently being recalled to the castle who loads after it is broken will be automatically sent back to their save points.
  • Allies are no longer affected by allied traps.

[edit] Guild Menu Changes

  • "Territory" display is now implemented. Shows which castles a guild is currently in control of.
  • "Note" area has been removed.
  • "Tendency" has been removed.
  • Guild leaders can now delegate new powers out to members:
    • Tax Control
    • Guild Message Control
    • Guild Title Control
  • "Tax Point" display has been removed.
  • "Guild Point" display implemented in place of "Tax Point" display. Shows how many guild points a guild currently has. (iRO Specific)
