42 Armoured Regiment

The 42 Armoured Regiment is an Indian military regiment that was raised in January 1981. Prior to World War II, the regiment existed under different names. Its slogan is "karma shourya vijaya", which means work, valour, victory. It is commanded by an officer of the rank of Colonel. It has in its history some very bright and brave officers, reflecting the high regimental standards, who went on to do well later in their career and lives. The men are very passionate about their regiment and squadrons. The regiment has served in many different locations mostly across norhtern India. Some of the locations include Ambala, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Babina, Barmer.
