The 42 études ou caprices (:literally: "The 42 études or Capriccios") is a composition and a system of violin pedagogy by Rodolphe Kreutzer.
The composer wrote the violin solo piece in 1798. And it is still the composer's best-known work. For the players, the étude has one of the basic and effective elements and it is indispensable for the teachers and coaches.
