41 Armoured Regiment, an elite unit of the Armoured Corps of the Indian army, was raised at Ahmednagar on July 1, 1980 under the then Lieut-Col J.P. Singh. The regiment was declared fit for war services in February 1981 [1] .
The regiment celebrated its silver jubilee in 2006 [2] . To commemorate the special day, a “Sainik Sammelan” (soldiers gathering) was organised. The founder of the Regiment, Brigadier J.P. Singh also graced the occasion. A number of ex-servicemen participated in the celebrations.
