Description

Pakistani Sufi singer Sain Zahoor singing in traditional Sufi dress (richly embroidered kurta). His musical instrument is the ektara (three-stringed variety); the round ball near his face is the resonance chamber of the ektara, usually made from a gourd shell. The tassels on the instrument fly as Sufi musicians whirl in musical trance. Photo from the Hungry Hearts Festival, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 2007-05-06.
